Jeg håber du får fundet nogle bæredygtige skomærker der også kan være med på æstetik fronten – og ift. kvalitet. Jeg kender ikke nogen bæredygtige skomærker der tiltaler mig overhovedet (selvom jeg håber at sommerens Birkenstock sandaler er et skridt på vejen, nu de er produceret i Tyskland), så i stedet går jeg efter noget der holder – som med så meget andet.

I know leather is tricky, but as you say, there’s not a durable alternative + leather is the thing that people keep the longest in their lives and have the hardest time letting go of; which is why I consider it sustainable on some level.
As for sports wear, I don’t know if I’ll be able to do recommendations, but I’ll look for suggestions, though they will be from European webshops.

Leather is such a contentious issue in ‘sustainability land’ but I am yet to find a more durable option in synthetics. For me longevity of a product, natural wear and breathability is so important (I have horrible issues with sweat and skin allergies in synthetics).

So unless they can come up with a ‘breathable’ biodegradable alternative following your tips and being sure to only buy what you love are some great options 🙂 (unless of course you are vegan)
